So the purpose of this meme is to give a little info on your muses without having to rely on others to fill your ask with meme questions. I know how disappointing it can be to come back to an empty ask so I wanted to create a meme that anyone and everyone can do (mun and muse). The rules are simple, you do not need to be tagged to fill out the questions, but once you have you must repost and tag 10 of your followers to spread the love (as well as add a question of your own to the bonus section). You can fill it out as many times as your heart desires (we all know muses can change with their character development.)
10 questions
01. What is your favourite word?
Caliber (noun): level of excellence, skill.02. What is your least favourite word?
Futile (adjective): having no result or effect, pointless or useless.03. What turns you on?
Rosalind would refuse to answer this question. There are no set methods of doing such a thing. Very rarely, if at all, will the Madame ever be approached for such a thing or pursue plights that involve acts of indecency (canonically and including in most all universes)… Having said this, Lutece is more than satisfied with atypical gestures of affection or shared ideals which are heavily expressed by another person (though we all know whom is the only one in mind who applies).05. What sound do you love?
A noise that has become increasingly irritating yet comforting, is zapping of electricity. It is associated with experimentation in Lutece Laboratories, a space shared between her and her brother where they spend most all their time to fulfill The Prophet’s wishes. The rustling of fabric and the setting of silverware are two other sounds which are reminders of cozy homes, living places for her and her dear ones.06. What sound do you hate?
A sound she dislikes is the atypical cries of an organism. Though it very heavily depends upon the situation, the physicist would more than likely not go out of her way to stop if since, in more occasions than one, it has been proven that she should not get involved. Not simply does she dislike this, but as well as an overbearing crowd. Festivals and celebrations are always pleasing for just a small amount of time, but the sounds emitting from these occasions are less than favorable.07. What is your favourite curse word?
Rosalind would refuse to answer this question. Hardly does she ever go out of her way to curse, both behind doors and in public. Columbia isn’t a city known for vile manners and she would be damned if she’d been referred as both the Mother of this city as well as a dissident. It would result in her very dismissal. Measuring how malleable her position in the city is something she wouldn’t do.08. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Although she’s known ever since adolescence that she would be a physicist, other interests of hers had been Shakespeare, English, and light traces of psychology. These had never amounted to her devotion toward physics and the surmountable possibilities that have yet to be established.09. What profession would you not like to do?
Anything having to do with factory work or the like– she supposes. A profession that could involve belittlement or under exaggeration of her abilities.10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
“He is not here.”Bonus questions
01. Something most people don’t know about you?
Lutece is heavily invested in works of Literature and plays which hold a deeper meaning or moral to the story.02. If you were one of the seven sins which would you be?
PRIDE, more than likely. Pride applies because of her rather evident demonstration of her intelligence and self reliance. I feel that while this is considered a sin, this aspect to her character is something she ought to be rightfully proud to have. If not pride, then GREED. I believe that greed can potentially apply to Rosalind because of her tenacious attitude toward her life objectives and goals… While she has already accomplished so very much in the field that were once deemed ‘impossible’, she sought more. More answers to mysterious which she had yet to configure.03. What are some notable merits and flaws?
Rosalind does not admit defeat if a theory or a concept is marked as impossible– she’s proven that such things ought to be fully looked into before confirmed futile. Her flaws could be arrogance, perfection, so on and so forth.04. Sexual preference?
Rosalind would refuse to answer this question. However, she is strictly demisexual… Only does this come into account when concerning folks who are very well associated with her and hold an immense personal connection. Never is she inclined to seek out such circumstances or necessarily let it dwell on her mind either… Her character focuses not upon relationships, no matter with whom they are made up of, but who the person in question is.05. What position do they sleep in?
Along her side. Her position alternates from left to right.06. Favourite sexual position?
Rosalind would refuse to answer this… So would I. As I have mentioned before and time and time again, this muse would probably never be the sort to sleep with anyone for the pleasure of it. What is there to gain from such an act– for her? While it brings satisfaction to most, she does not see the appeal and remains set on her work and what she expects from herself. The only instance she would be sexually active is if she’d sought pregnancy… This would only come about in a very small number of universes.07. If they could change one thing about their lives, what would it be?
They regret having stayed under Comstock’s rule for so long– although it had certainly been the cause of her success, it was also the cause of her very ruin.08. Are you prone to good dreams, nightmares or dreamless sleep?
Although she does not dream all too often, there is once ever few months that there might be a motivation inducing dream. Although, she is not reliant with these forms of inspiration whatsoever.09. Do they wear any jewlery? If so, does it mean anything to them?
No, they do not. She does have a few charms and necklaces laying about her home, but she does not regularly wear any jewelry.tagging: caedxs, seekanotherpath, other peeps can if they want idc.
Roleplay Tag Game ;
- Name of your muse.
Rosalind Lutece.- One picture you like best of your muse’s fc.
- Two headcanons you have for your muse that you never told anyone.
a) The physicist is not religious. During adolescence she’d taken to joining Christianity but that had only been due to her mother and father’s visits at the local church. After having contemplated the stories and the principles, she found herself at fault because there was no genuine belief. Thankfully, she failed to inform others of this aspect about herself– it could have closed many doors.
b) When it comes to undertakings, Rosalind focuses primarily on the task at hands and works steadily but fiercely on her work. If in the midst of revelation, she will not withdrawal herself from what needs to be completed.- Three things that your muse loves doing in their free time.
a) Reading literature. Although her nose is often found in volumes having to do with scientific fields (obviously physics), Lutece does enjoy precious tales that are well composed.
b) Writing letters. If one were to peek around at what Rosalind had to hide, one would find an extensive collection of stationary. Though there aren’t all too any she often writes to, excluding family members, the madam takes great pleasure in cursive conversation scrawled on an attractive page.
c) Practicing piano. Both Lutece’s have taken toward the instrument after having discovered that it provided therapy toward Robert through his confusion and hemorrhage.- Four people that your muse loves.
Robert Lutece, Alexia Ashford (potentially), her mother, and her father. There aren’t many that hold such a connection.- Three fond childhood memories.
a) Being referred to as the utmost brightest pupil among a class of twenty or so other children… This kick started her motivation with her classes.
b) Her mother’s instructions and demonstrations concerning hair, attire, and beauty. Although the woman doesn’t particularly give off the impression as the sort whom would care for these things, it was an endearing bonding moment with her parental figure.
c) The household which she grew up in had always been cozy, at least in her eyes. There had been warm colors, welcoming furniture and framed portraits and photographs of countless family members littered all about the household.- Two things your muse regrets.
What doesn’t she regret haha.a) Rosalind regrets remaining under Comstock’s service for so many years. Although he certainly had granted her freedoms that she wouldn’t have gotten if employed by other folks, she wishes that her own warnings had driven her far enough away.
b) While everything had resulted ‘swimmingly’, it still pains the physicist to know that her other half had been affected so terribly by crossing over into a differing dimension… If given more time, it would have been likely that she worked out the imperfections with their device.- One thing they’d go through heaven or hell to save/change.
Despite set on the principle that what is done cannot be undone, the physicist would seek verdict to interchanged aspects in her and her brothers lives (particularly those which hadn’t resulted in their set death).- Tag ten people to do the same thing.
Whoever wants to do this can– but yeah. I’m tagging sanctamater, lesportesenrose, and titanomyrma.
my name / its meaning [x]: Derived from the Germanic elements hros "horse" and linde "soft, tender". The Normans introduced this name to England, though it was not common. During the Middle Ages its spelling was influenced by the Latin phrase rosa linda "beautiful rose". The name was popularized by Edmund Spencer, who used it in his poetry, and by William Shakespeare, who used it for the heroine in his comedy ‘As You Like It’ (1599).
western zodiac [x]: Gemini.
chinese zodiac [x]: Goat.
celtic zodiac [x]: Hawthorn - The Illusionist. Outwardly, they appear to be a certain persona, while on the inside Hawthorn’s are quite different. They put the term “never judge a book by its cover” to the test. They live seemingly average lives while on the inside they carry fiery passions and inexhaustible creative flame. They are well adjusted and can adapt to most life situations well - making themselves content and comforting others at the same time. You are naturally curious, and have an interest in a broad range of topics. You are an excellent listener, and people seek you out as an outlet to release their burdens.
You have a healthy sense of humor, and have a clear understanding of irony. You tend to see the big picture, and have amazing insight - although you typically won’t give yourself enough credit for your observations. Hawthorn signs match up nicely with Ash and Rowan’s.myers-briggs type indicator [x]: INTJ. INTJs are analytical. Like INTPs, they are most comfortable working alone and tend to be less sociable than other types. Nevertheless, INTJs are prepared to lead if no one else seems up to the task, or if they see a major weakness in the current leadership. They tend to be pragmatic, logical, and creative. They have a low tolerance for spin or rampant emotionalism. They are not generally susceptible to catchphrases and do not recognize authority based on tradition, rank, or title… etc.
the four temperaments [x]: Your temperament is melancholic. The melancholic temperament is fundamentally introverted and thoughtful. Melancholic people often were perceived as very (or overly) pondering and considerate, getting rather worried when they could not be on time for events. Melancholics can be highly creative in activities such as poetry and art - and can become preoccupied with the tragedy and cruelty in the world. Often they are perfectionists. They are self-reliant and independent; one negative part of being a melancholic is that they can get so involved in what they are doing they forget to think of others.
enneagram [x]: Type 1 - The Reformer // The Investigator.
The Reformer: The principled, idealistic type. Ones are conscientious and ethical, with a strong sense of right and wrong. They are teachers, crusaders, and advocates for change: always striving to improve things, but afraid of making a mistake. Well-organized, orderly, and fastidious, they try to maintain high standards, but can slip into being critical and perfectionistic. They typically have problems with resentment and impatience. At their Best: wise, discerning, realistic, and noble. Can be morally heroic. The investigator: The perceptive, cerebral type. Fives are alert, insightful, and curious. They are able to concentrate and focus on developing complex ideas and skills. Independent, innovative, and inventive, they can also become preoccupied with their thoughts and imaginary constructs. They become detached, yet high-strung and intense. They typically have problems with eccentricity, nihilism, and isolation. At their Best: visionary pioneers, often ahead of their time, and able to see the world in an entirely new way.
soul type [x]: Group 4 - The Scholar. You have an excellent mind, full of information like a well stocked library, and you enjoy developing and playing with ideas. Your curiosity drives you to seek truth, whether watching a crime drama, tracing your family tree or exploring a philosophy. You are good at explaining and interpreting and would make a good teacher. You prefer to connect mind-to-mind when you first meet people and are sometimes uncomfortable with intense emotions. Your objectivity and capacity for seeing both sides of an argument make you a good mediator. Your work needs to have an element of mental stimulation, preferably combined with a chance to use your natural research skills.
The definition of a word is always the story that creates the word for your character, so put a "Define ______" in my ask to hear how they learned that concept.
po·ten·tial
adjective
Capable of being or becoming.
’That Lutece girl’ they would refer to her as, always prompting the term and regarding her quite highly in contrast to the remainder of the student body. Perhaps she hadn’t been like most the other young girls her age, pursuing only what they had been believed to be capable of: starting a family and enticing those of the opposing gender. Nay, she found such limitations insulting and hardly the sort of recognition she would have liked to be known by.
Instead, the adolescent cherished such praise and ultimately drove her to accomplish schooling to unimaginable feats. No, she did not necessarily retain the relationships once made while she attended academies accordingly but they were not needed… At least, not when they could be substituted with knowledge. Company only lasted so long.
“Holding great promise for the future.”
Although it may as well be father’s day, the physicist finds herself riddled with duties. The holiday which she had come to necessarily find herself caring all too much about– neither was mother’s day, for that matter. It hadn’t been that she failed to care for her elders, merely that she had been busy. Showing up unanticipated for a shared meal and plenty of wonted conversations failed to entice her over the loads of paperwork she currently found herself etching problems and blueprints.
They hadn’t been influential nor a hassle— merely simple. Despite her mother sharing a few words of frustration over the fact that her daughter was to attend university rather than seek out a potential suitor, quarrels hadn’t at all been common. Unlike most households, each member appeared to have business of their own to tend toward, the child included.
Rosalind did love her parents, respected them credibly… But enough so to go out of her way in order to visit them? Not so much, it would seem. Most would find this factor a bit cruel, even for the stiff, uptight redhead she had been credited. However, the lady knew better than most that the pair hadn’t come to fret about the oversight for years, more specifically the amount since they had come to separate. The trio understood one another and for that reason, dull holidays hadn’t been necessary to establish their devotion (though it had been much stronger previously than it has been as of now, due to distance).
At most, her father will perhaps receive a simple card, signed by his daughter whom would rather remain in the rose tinted rooms of her labs.
The urge is strong, but in executing, memories would be lost and would be more or less become obliterated in the process… Although Robert Lutece has come to comply with that which would be needed to some degree for the sake of procreation, Rosalind has not and more than likely will not. She has undergone far too vast of research, undertakings, and demolished too many barriers to contentedly abandon herself and that which she has accomplished. Hardships were faced and resolved in time and reason, problematic labor had resulted in artistry unlike any other that scientists had ever witnessed. The Lutece Particle, the Lutece Device, Siphon, volumes of expertise, reports of endless research… Even after her very demise, the woman found herself accountable for duties which required assistance by both her and her brother whom graciously performed.
Perhaps it would come in time to comply with her dear brother’s wishes, but for now, the redhead only turn a blind eye. By vacating this universe and returning to another which they’ve already perished for the sole purpose of potential uprising in kin hardly piqued enthusiasm. Instead, she wished to remain– comprehend.
Otherwise the mysteries of the universe would once again become
mysteries.
Ever since she’d been that of an adolescent, objects such as notes, contracts, letters, photographs, or any parcels exchanged between others had always held an appropriate place in heart. Although this had been quite common amongst most considering the time period, Rosalind had been known to take it to new extremes. Not so much that she’d been a hoarder or anything of that sort. Everything in this category holds great significance, in her eyes. Whether they happen to be her own written notes in Morse Code from Robert Lutece via The Lutece Tear, messages from fellow physics enthusiasts, or rustic, Victorian photos from various family members (weddings, family portraits, etc).
There are certain drawers around and about in the Lutece Labs containing parchments from particulars. Early communication between Robert accounts for one in itself (this does not include items after their convergence). Since they had begun in Morse Code, Rosalind took to etching down their conversations for accuracy… Others possessing their own spaces for such things include Zachary Comstock (contracts and notes mostly), those working under Comstock or hold importance in differing industries (notes and letters), admirers of her work (letters), Constance Field (letters and photographs), familial connections (photographs and letters), and various folk (whomever often communicates with her via written messages).
⌨ - time-wasting habits
Such customs can include a variety of peculiar gestures. The lady had always been one for tedious observations over folk, architecture, objects, and the sort. In her grandiose opinion, it was always beneficial to familiarize yourself with anything and everything.
More physical sort of quirks compromise of two very noticeable movements: the interlocking of her hands found just over the front of her body and the elongating of her neck.
♫ - singing voice
✪ - favorite food/eating habits
Since I had addressed favorites before in this answer, I will discuss eating habits. During consumption, Rosalind is always sure to keep her spoonfuls (as well as forkfuls, in this case) at a reasonable amount. Her mother always advised her doing such since it was never ladylike to cram food down at an unnecessary pace. Used to claim that it was rude to do in front of the ‘chef’. Therefore, she’d always been more of a leisurely eater. Sometimes finds herself holding forks like she does with pens or pencils.
☁ - ideal holiday
Spent with none other than her brother, Robert. Formerly, the pair had attended social gatherings formed for the occasion of Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving so on and so forth. If the two were to have it their way though, each holiday would be spent in the comfort of their own dwelling. However, since they are working under the renowned prophet, the scientists responsible for the most prodigious of devices are expected to make an appearance. Lest they want false information spread through the media.
✄ - nervous habits
It might be difficult to conclude for anyone who doesn’t happen to be very close with her, but whenever Rosalind is anxious about something, she will more than likely keep quiet and focus only on that. There are instances where she can be quite talkative, but if her replies are quick and evident enough to see that she’d hardly even thought over what was asked, she’s more than likely either busy or concerned.
Circumstances differ entirely though. Such habits as this are more so common in a relaxed setting.
☂ - sadness
The last thing she ever wanted to do was cry. Especially in front of others. Even if this hadn’t happen and will never happen, she’d grown into a tough outer exterior to keep negative emotions distant when having to deal with other folk or having to keep up her work performance. There was an ability she had that most failed to master and that had been, leaving everything at the door.
A day might have gone badly and perhaps she’d wallowed in anguish, but once the morning had broke against the horizon and it was time to act, all that energy was left to deal with at another time.
❈ - ideal birthday
Just as all the other holidays play out, Rosalind would spend it with her dearest brother. Though, instead of having to roam out and about through crowds of people she hardly finds any common ground with, both Lutece’s have the pleasure of lounging about their home. They will more than likely purchase a gift in secret for one another, then after present it. This has been a more recent tradition since his arrival. As the day would transpire to evening, they would feast together, finish their birthday treats (pie, most likely), wish one another a happy birthday multiple times, possibly share a dance, and so forth. It is simple days like these, free from scientific labor that the redheads are able to truly unwind and appreciate one another’s company.
