Would it ever be that Lutece might initiate such a thing? It seemed awfully
strange a thing for the lady to do all so abruptly. No, as mentioned before hand,
an act of this measure could only be called for when conditions had been at their
uttermost finest… Perhaps, she configured.
Perchance that there had been growing esteem on her part, along
with a budding sense of venture that has yet to make itself known.
Until a most favorable opportunity will cite itself, this bold recommendation will lie
in mind (not on her lips)… Although there hadn’t been a single ounce of chance
that precognition rested at her fingertips, there had been something which was
able to breed further encouragement: suspicion. It was likely, she hypothesized,
that the Ashford woman had been quite aware of the clash between ideals and
inclinations… Of course, she would act on it. Thus leading to the desired result.
Lutece barely pays mind to the statement.

I can not and will not ever do any sort of thread where it might imply that Lutece is incredibly reliant, overly anxious, jittery, etcetera. That is not her character and while there may be some instances that contradict these sentiments and/or aspects, it doesn’t apply to most. Her character had been conceptualized to be tenacious, perceptive, and aloof from most others so I tend to keep her in situations that steer clear from these sorts of indications (no matter the universe). I also couldn’t find myself ever smutting on this account because of fairly obvious logic. I don’t think that I will ever write out intimacy with Rosalind because she isn’t the sort to get herself involved with such things (there’s nothing to gain from it, for her)… At most she would exchange a kiss (at least with what you guys will see on this account).
The notion was feasible, but never would Rosalind confide in the public,
let alone her own sibling, for that matter. Warm gestures as these were never
exchanged between any, save for the occasion affections that took the form of
a gentle grip or even a stroke along the rim of his jaw bone… The devotion for
Robert exceeded any ever induced and his person took precedence, but no, this
information would never reach those ears— for his own sake. Rosalind hadn’t
wished to potentially strike nerves, but it would be much more beneficial to them
both if she remained silent.. That is, unless both these women had grown
excessively committed toward one another and been ruled vital.
Further more, Lutece hadn’t been the sort to act impulsively concerning these
salutes… Lest the conditions had called for it (which they presumably wouldn’t).
Had this matter progressed accordingly, there had been reason to speculate that
it would not be the physicist to initiate this embrace but instead, the scientist.
It meant no difference to her how this notion
would be brought about and made reality.
Lutece would say nothing. Neither would she imply an affirmation.

⋆ - A ship I have with my character
Tfw you don’t ship any other characters with your own besides ones you’ve mentioned already. I only ship Rosalind with Robert Lutece and Alexia Ashford, honestly. The only other ship I can think of at this moment is Rosalind and science. Her affinity for physics is one which rarely is something relate-able for any others. Although she might be a tad bit religious since her parents and been and one’s upbringing influences a person in ways you couldn’t believe, science overrules anything and everything in her eyes (besides certain affections).

I was hardly expecting a message like this– at all, actually omg. But wow though, it’s such a pleasant surprise when you receive little notifications like this from people. It’s like, almost confirmation that people actually enjoy how much I mess around on this account and all I the effort I put into it… Sometimes I wonder if I’m just wasting my time doing such things but really, it’s folks like you that remind me that it’s not just for my satisfaction (this really helps my esteem on here tbh). Thank you so much for this though! I’m very glad that people are so fond of my portrayal of Rosalind and think so nicely of it– literally makes my heart go ’doki doki’. <33

sure, most definitely! I’ll take in a couple more– it’s just a bit lengthy when you’re trying to find music and figure out au’s, but it would inevitably get done sooner or later. u v u

Why would she be a couple’s counselor or a medical doctor— what sort of self fulfillment would come of doing this? Although these are alternate universes and I’m pretty game for all sorts of different universes, I try to keep her character mindset fluent through all the universes I mess around in (unless it’s something to do with age or something that impacted her psychologically to an enormous degree like in adolescence or a post fall Bioshock au where she’s not scattered)… Yeah, I don’t know man like, there wouldn’t be any drive to have these sorts of careers because the closest she’s ever gotten to intimacy was probably a kiss, probably. And she’s got no anatomical knowledge on the body or the brain. So if it is a modern au or an au where physics is still a thing and will continue to forever be a thing because it’s physics, no other career option would be thought on (save for the Wild West au because obvious reasons).
Couples counselor au though— I ask why because her relationship with her brother isn’t the best. “If he threatens to abandon you if you don’t return someone you stole from a differing timeline— you ought to comply with his wishes, girls.”
The only alternate universe I have where Rosalind would ever be involved in physical intimacy is one where her and Robert return to a universe where they already died so they can be palpable (like Elizabeth in BAS) and potentially have a child… But also in the voxophone she says that to give up their state of being, they would lose all they would look for and gained so I don’t think that would happen any time soon in reality… So.. That would only happen after like a huge amount of time.

holy hell, I just had to lay down for a second because this message gave me a momentary heart attack. first off, thank you so much!! I always end up worrying that my characterization or something is far from what it should be, but it’s definitely people like you that keep me active with roleplaying, art, and everything I could wish to accomplish. really though, I appreciate that you would take the time out of your day to inform me of this— just, thank you x infinity. <3
as for wanting to talk to me, PLEASE DO SO. I’m just a potato that is in need of more people to harass / befriend and honestly, I would like nothing more than to get acquainted!
The definition of a word is always the story that creates the word for your character, so put a "Define ______" in my ask to hear how they learned that concept.
love
noun
A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
Affectionate hadn’t been a characteristic that many would associate with the proud Lutece woman, but alas, many hardly had the gratification of ever spending any time with her. Despite being seemingly cold toward most, there had been a sympathetic side to her which required patience a plenty (something very few had been able to endure).
Robert had been among them, and proven himself terribly significant in the most burdensome of ways…
It was through her very profession did the pair come to encounter, though it hadn’t been physically but instead by way of the ‘Lutece Field’. From a observational perspective, Rosalind had become increasing intrigued as well as eager. The ability to converse with oneself from a neighboring world had been unlike any breakthrough that leading scientists, those whom had countless years of experience in contrast to R. Lutece, hadn’t the thrill of identifying themselves! Through partnership, one could only imagine what multiple Lutece’s had been ever so able to accomplish… Thus, their communication hadn’t faltered in even the slightest of numbers, causing a growing fondness to take hold of the other person— themselves.
Admiration through collaboration eventually took the form of affection. Only was it possibly though by their own fixations on future endeavors. Robert had considerably been a most substantial constant— both for Rosalind and the Prophet.
“Dedicating oneself to an individual or that of a hobby, occupation, so forth. In my case, it would constitute my devotion toward quantum physics and every division I have worked through to demonstrate my theories.”
There was a momentary lull.
“Concerning my affection toward others, the only figures in my life whom ever possessed any form of the thing had been familial relations. My brother being, in a sense, the only exception.” Romance had no room in the confined life of this physicist, but if ever it was to become a possibility, the role would go only to a fellow which knew her and the field better than the back of his own hand. For, he had already been present.
